Childhood imagination vs Reality

About this work

For my Ap Art class in highschool. The prompt was to draw your childhood memories on one side, and a place from your childhood on the other. My childhood memories were predominantly video games and art. The tentacles represent the places in a game titled Ark: Survival Evolved—a game that helped shape my creativity in fantasy. The eyes and face represent myself, and the flares of color represent the brightness of said time as a child. The grocery store on the other represents my childhood constant. It never moved, changed, or truly ever went away.
